In 2009, his company went bankrupt and he became a street artist. In June 2017, he visited Agbogblosie, a slum in Ghana that is said to be "one of the largest electronic graveyards in the world", where he met people who make a living by burning electronic equipment that developed countries have abandoned. He uses the power of art to show the developed world the truth: "The rich life we lead in the developed world is based on the sacrifices of the people in these slums”. In August 2019, he visited Agbogbloshie for the fifth time and stayed for 53 days. For their new hope and livelihood, they founded the first cultural institution in the slum, the "MAGO E-Waste Museum". Emmy Award-winning director Kahn Conwiser followed this journey in his documentary film "Still A Black Star", which won four Impact Docs Awards for excellence in American documentary film. The film is now being prepared for release.
