Economic Growth

Tourists will bring back the vitality of Kamigori's shopping streets, restaurants, and lodging facilities. Moreover, the Hotel, built by the town of Kamigori about 20 years ago, has no overnight guests and is currently used mostly as a meeting place for residents, but if the tourists come to Kamigori, it could be used as a hotel in the future.

An Increase
In Employment

As the number of tourists increases in Kamigori, new stores will be built, employees will be needed, and there will be more places to work.

Population Growth

More places to work means that young people in Kamigori can find jobs in the town instead of leaving Kamigori to find work. Also, people from outside the town will come to work and the population will increase. An increase in population means more residents and taxes for Kamigori to collect, which enriches the town of Kamigori.

Revitalisation Of
Public Transport

There will be an increase in the number of trains and buses. In addition, the direct train service to the city center was discontinued about 15 years ago due to a decline in the number of users but service may be restored in the future. The current train service from Kamigori to the neighbouring city and the bus service around Kamigori is inconvenient with only one every hour but more buses and trains could make access more convenient.

Advantages of making Kamigori
a tourist destination

At present, Kamigori town does not have any famous history, buildings or tourist attractions to make the town a tourist destination. A project involving street art might help turn the town into a tourist destination and help develop it into a more attractrive place to live and visit. Art and the community are closely related.  Art can have a positive influence on an area affecting areas such as tourism, business, and encouraging investment. It has also been proven that graffiti or street art can lead to graffitification, which is also referred to as graffiti-gentrification, which is the process which happens when art is encouraged and artists move to an area. This can encourage more visitors and result in the development of small businesses which then attract larger businesses and development . In addition, Melbourne (Australia), Penang (Malaysia), and Bristol (UK) have succeeded in becoming tourist destinations through street art.
